The Third International “Let My People Live!” Forum to mark the 65th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau was held in Krakow, Poland, on 27 January 2010. The Forum was organised by the WHF together with the EJC and Yad Vashem.

The Forum was held under the honorary patronage of President of Poland Lech KaczyƄski, President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek and the President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy. It was attended by a delegation of nearly 100 Members of the European Parliament led by its President Jerzy Buzek. Other representatives of European institutions and official delegations from all over the world were among the participants.

EJC President Moshe Kantor, EP President Jerzy Buzek, Chairman of the ECTR and former President of Poland Aleksander Kwaƛniewski, Yad Vashem Chairman Avner Shalev, Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv and Buchenwald survivor Rabbi Meir Lau and President of the World Jewish Congress Ronald S. Lauder all addressed the Forum.

U.S. President Barack Obama sent a recorded video message to the Forum’s participants, calling on the international community to remember the tragedies of the past and stressing that their memory should determine today’s policies.

A U.S. delegation of seven staff members of President Obama’s cabinet attended the Forum.
