The vice president of the Board of Deputies has been re-elected to chairman of the Council of the European Jewish Congress (EJC).
Among the work that Flo Kaufman will be undertaking in her role will be supporting Israel at the April 2009 Durban Review Conference in Geneva, promoting interfaith work and building better links with the European Parliament.
As well as Kaufman keeping her role, EJC president Moshe Kantor was also re-elected for another term.
