Viatcheslav Kantor, a businessman and Chairman of the Coordinating Board of the JSC Acron, became a new President of the Russian Jewish Congress (RJC), having superseded Vladimir Slutsker, Chuvashia’s senator and the author of the tutorial Basic Cabbala. The latter was proposed to resign due to “RJC’s inactivity in the past year”. The new President was nominated by Mikhail Friedman, the RJS member and chief executive of Alfa-Bank.
